Who’s In Charge? YOU, YOU are in charge.
Charisma Movement is student-formed, student-ran and student-led. You can choose a project that YOU are passionate about, and YOU and your teammates will decide how to make it happen.
Executive Committee 2017/2018
University of Bath | 2nd year Accounting and Finance
“Did I live the way I want? Did I love enough? Have I done enough?”
Being diagnosed with tumour was never something easy to digest and handle at the age of 15. And I made it! The one thing that I took away from endless nights of questioning myself is I know I wasn’t living to my questions. It is always the moment when you were so close to death, you realised you certainly don’t want to leave this world without making any changes, regardless big or small. All of us have the power to love, to impact this world for the better.
If you are reading this, TAKE A BREATH & BE GRATEFUL THAT YOU ARE STILL HERE, ABLE TO LOVE, TO MAKE A CHANGE. I believe everyone has an encounter that sparks their interest in volunteerism and this is mine. Now, join us and let CHARISMA MOVEMENT nurture your passion in giving back to this society. Together we can bring a greater change to Malaysia!
University of Nottingham | 2nd Year Economics
Hey I’m Christine! I like yoga and long distance running. Having founded a tutoring program for underprivileged children and worked in the social sector, I’ve first handedly witnessed how community involvement empowers youths to be the best versions of themselves. Stay updated with us to take steps towards becoming a changemaker yourself!

Trinity College Dublin | 3rd year Medicine
Hi I’m Sie Kei (CK) and I’m the new treasurer for Charisma! I’m currently studying medicine in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. As studious as my course may sound, I’m actually really clumsy.
Fun fact: I have a pillow that I use since I was a baby and I still hug a teddy bear to sleep.

Farah Iman Muhd Najib
University of Pittsburgh | 3rd year Microbiology
Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur! I’m currently majoring in Microbiology at the University of Pittsburgh. I enjoy keeping myself busy and working with others so I’m excited to be part of Charisma Movement’s new committee! As someone who’s had it lucky in life, I’m a firm believer in being aware of your privilege and giving back to the community. I think no matter how small or big your contribution, everyone has the potential to positively impact a person’s life and make Malaysia a better place.
As a side note, I’m also a crazy cat lady, huge Potterhead and durian lover 😉
Strategy and Logistics Directors
University College London | 2nd year Biomedical Sciences
Hi I’m Katrina! I’m a second year Biomedical Sciences student from University College London! Volunteering has not only made me aware of the needs of the community, but it has also served as a learning platform for me to learn more about myself, and about the diverse cultures of the people around me. If I’m not volunteering or burying my head in books in the library, I’m probably munching on food. So if you like blessing your tummy with good food, we’d be GREAT FRIENDS. Apparently I make very interesting sound effects and facial expressions when I talk, so maybe watch out for that if you ever see me!
Universiti Tun Abdul Razak | 2nd year Leadership
Hi, Im Nadhira and I’m the Logistic & Strategy Director for 2017/2018. Helping people has been my main priority. i believe that we must give back to the society with what we can do. Im consider grateful because i have the things i needed and some may not even have the same opportunity as i do, therefore we should be grateful for what we have and help those people in needs. Funfact about myself is i talk very fast when I’m excited!!
University College London | 2nd year Law
Cheras girl currently studying law in UCL! Volunteering with Charisma Movement’s flagship project on teaching primary school kids last summer has been truly eye-opening- so many in Malaysia are less unfortunate, less privileged than we are and if we have the capacity to give back to our society, then we definitely should. And so this is why I’ve joined the committee: to start somewhere and hope to make a difference, even if it’s just a small one.
On a lighter note, I love BTS their newest album is sooo good ya all need to go listen eh 😀
Universiti Teknologi Petronas | 3rd year Business Info Systems

Besides that, I love videography and editing
University of Bath | 3rd year Chemical Engineering
Hey guys, Cendy here! Currently a third-year Chemical Engineering student studying in University of Bath.
I never knew the joy of volunteerism until I understood that it is more blessed to give than to take. This time, I am blessed with yet another opportunity to serve under Charisma Movement to spread the love of volunteerism. Choosing to volunteer under Project TT last summer was by far the best decision I have made. It was indeed a life-changing experience to meet like-minded people and take a step back from the hustle and bustle city life, reflecting about my own life.
On a less serious side, I love telling lame jokes, so stay tuned for more and I hope I don’t disappoint! Also, FOOD IS LIFE.
University of Aberdeen | 2nd year Medicine
I’m Wei Wen, a second year medic in the University of Aberdeen, a small-ish town in the north of Scotland.
Volunteering has always been a passion of mine- it is a constant reminder of how lucky I am to have the education I have, and that because of all that I have it gives me so much more reason to serve the community, to spread happiness and help the less fortunate- and through charisma movement, it gives me the platform to do exactly that.
Fun fact: I love babies so u can always find me squealing in public when I see a small baby
Sara Rebecca George
Trinity College Dublin | 3rd year Medicine
My name is Sara and I am a third year medical student studying at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. I joined Charisma because, as a child, I was always reminded that “if you can help and make one person smile each day, it will gradually go a long way.” Charisma is also a great way for me to give back to my country and thank it for shaping me into the person that I am today. One has to start somewhere in order to make a change and what better place to start than at home.
So join Charisma and let me recruit you!
On a lighter note, I enjoy travelling, eating (I really do love eating) and spending time with friends and family.
