  1. What is a virtual run? How does it work?

A virtual run is a flexible, ‘online’ version of a marathon! Basically, you sign up to run a certain distance for charity within a 2 week period. You can run anytime & anywhere, as long as you keep track of your activity using the Runkeeper application.

 

  1. When will the run start?

The run will start on 31st March 2018 and end on 14th April 2018.

 

  1. Where will the run take place?

Anywhere! That’s the best part of a virtual run — you can run anywhere around the world at any time within the 2-week period. All you have to do is keep track of your accumulated distance using the Runkeeper application on your mobile device.

 

  1. How can I sign up?

First, download the Runkeeper application on your mobile phone, then head over to our registration page.

 

  1. Do I have to run the entire distance in one go?

Nope! You can accumulate the distance you’ve run over the 2 week period until you reach your goal.

 

  1. What is the run for?

Run for Malaysia was organized as a fundraiser for the Charisma Movement Foundation and to raise awareness regarding the conditions in which students of SK Temuno Teringai Darat & SK Tumunda Salimandut live in rural Sabah. Find more information on our website.

 

  1. Where will the funds go?

Proceeds from the run will go towards our newly established Charisma Movement Foundation. It will be used to cover the costs of hygiene products, study materials & accommodation of the Year 6 students of SK Temuno Teringai Darat & SK Tumunda Salimandut.

 

  1. Are there prizes??

Yes! The first person to complete the running distance for each category will receive a prize. There’s also a photo contest — the best post wins something special! Check out our Run for Malaysia Facebook page for more updates & information.
